And, just so that we get the record perfectly straight. The pictures were posted to a page by your request and pending your approval. -------------- Mike-- With the resurgence of interest in the border wars, I get regular requests for the use of my photos. Inasmuch as I am producing Kindle and iPad photo albums to supplement next year's reprint of my book "Koevoet," I have to look at how reproduction of my work in other places might affect future sales of those. Perhaps you can tell me a little more about your book and the photos you'd like to use. Regards, Jim ------------------------------ I then put up the page and pix to show what I had in mind, and all I got in reponse was your tirade, so it was all deleted. re Placing the pix on FB, that was merely an opportunistic storage location that was used on the spur of the moment. No text or claims of any kind were posted with your pictures. ------------------------------------- But, I did respond as such :- ------------------------------------- Jim Sorry bout that, it is in the back, till I chatted to you ------------------------------------- Pointing out that while I had compiled the page for private viewing, it was not linked to the index for casual visitors to see. Anyway, if I have, as it would seem, created offence, please accpt my sincierest apologies, all your pix have been deleted and I shall consider the matter closed. And re, any aspect of claims of glory on my side, please refer to my web site http://digitalsidewalk.co.za/disclaimer.htm I think the fact that this thread exists in the first place, it will become blatantly obvious to anyone that reads this thread from the top down, that I was in the process of compiling a web site, and actively sought your permission, and gave you a private link to a preview of what I had in mind as per your request, and that no dishonesty or infringement of rights was intended. My postings do not, to the best of my knowledge, contain anything that is either plagarised or an infringement on copyright. I am responding here in public forum becuase you brough a matter that I had regarded as settled into this forum. If you had any issues, a simple email would have resolved it ages ago. Cheeze

I was at Bridge 14 and remember when we first came in contact with the cubans out on the Ebo road. I had just arrived and the casualties were rolling in at Cela hospital. We assisted the Dr's all day and that night late a Dr drew me a little map and said I had to go to the front lines and find Zulu group. I had to turn left at a green tractor but being colour blind in red, green, brown etc made it a lucky packet draw as there were a few abandoned tractors along the way. I was an Ops Medic and have a few photos the Dr's smuggled out. Kind Regards Kevin Bowden kevinb@internode.on.net
There are a few on ebay (under SADF) and also on Bid or Buy. With the Australian Dollar the Bid or Buy option is a steal.. Best of luck MARK
Hi fella's… I'm not sure if anyone can help but I'm looking to acquire a non-working A53 field radio chassis with the front panel intact (with knobs etc, Flexi antenna and bag (I have a handset). The other alternative I have is to scratch build one so if acquiring a real one is impossible, is there a former signaller out there who can let me have the dimensions of the radio as well as some good quality photo's of the unit - shot straight from each side? Naturally, if anyone has any spares like the antenna, the knobs and bag, this would also be of great help for the scratch build... My contact details are: mark@markraats.com Many thanks and best MARK
Hi Johan, Can you put me in touch with someone who can get me a beret badge infantry bokop and infantry balkie please, as I am in Australia I just cannot seem to find them, and I need them for my Anzac day march with SAMVOA. Many thanks, David Sheldon
Peter Hall. He got a degree and did well in spite of his injuries.
